High end markets, such as entertainment and sports, have a large variety of risk management exposures that requires a special approach and expertise. Highly compensated corporate executives and professionals also find themselves under-insured. Exceptional Risk Advisors provides the solutions to appropriately cover those in need of excess and exceptional risk coverage.
Summary
The candidate will be reporting to Brian Gutterman - Vice President of Underwriting and working closely with the underwriting team to support management of the policy underwriting data and issuance of policies not auto-generated by Agency Management System. The position will also manage workflow in the Agency Management System.
Essential Functions
- Obtaining underwriting requirements (applications, insurance exams, lab results, financial information) from writing agents and third-party vendors.
- Managing electronic documents
- Identification of outstanding requirements.
- Adding case data to internal system and maintaining accuracy and integrity of data.
- Verification that writing agents are licensed and appointed with us; requesting outstanding licensing materials as needed.
- Electronic filing of correspondence with writing agents, carriers in the London marketplace and third-party vendors.
- Generate custom insurance policies.
- Proofing documents for accuracy.
- Distribution of final policies and invoices for custom insurance policies.
- Follow-up with writing agents for premium and outstanding requirements.
Successful Candidate Requirements
- Articulate communicator, both written and verbal.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize.
- Ability to excel as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Results oriented
- Well organized, efficient and detail oriented.
- Experience in an Insurance environment a plus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
