Overview:
Join our team as a Machine Builder Tech II, where your advanced mechanical skills will be pivotal in assembling and installing cutting-edge machinery. We seek a dedicated professional with over five years of experience in machine assembly, mechanics, machining, or welding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work independently and proactively, raising concerns when necessary.
- Travel internationally on short notice to support offsite system installations at customer facilities.
- Collaborate with diverse plant teams and communicate effectively with Assembly Team Leaders.
- Utilize hand and power tools to assemble machines in accordance with detailed drawings, specifications, and electrical schematics.
- Conduct custom assemblies of varying sizes based on project requirements, ensuring all parts are available and meet customer specifications.
- Perform tasks such as laying out, drilling, tapping, deburring, light welding, and sheet metal work.
- Assemble component parts and sub-assemblies into the main machine frame, ensuring proper cable and hose management.
- Engage in problem-solving, troubleshooting, and testing assembled machines for quality assurance.
- Adhere to health and safety policies, maintaining a clean and organized assembly floor.
- Report safety concerns to relevant supervisors and maintain tools and workspace in optimal condition.
Qualifications:
- A strong mechanical aptitude with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to stand, grasp, carry, walk, bend, squat, reach, twist, and lift for extended periods.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and conducting visual inspections with keen attention to detail.
- Competent in monitoring machine sounds and communicating safety instructions clearly.
- Willingness to undertake training for forklift and overhead crane operations.
