Business Intelligence Analyst - Merchandising - Global Partners LP

We are hiring for a Business Intelligence Analyst - Merchandising, responsible for designing, creating, and reporting financial performance analysis for the Merchandising team serving approximately 400 convenience stores from Maine to Texas.

This role involves working within the Merchandising department, collaborating with internal teams and external brand partners to optimize item sales, basket sales, transactions, and profits across promotions and loyalty platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with Merchandising leadership to understand data needs and deliver tailored analytics solutions.
• Utilize strategic, analytical, and critical thinking skills to analyze complex datasets and communicate insights effectively.
• Define analytical requirements, develop data models aligned with business needs, and support decision-making.
• Create real-time dashboards using Tableau and automate reports for internal teams.
• Standardize analytical methodologies and perform statistical tests for hypothesis validation.
• Proficient in SQL to join data sources and enhance datasets.
• Monitor KPIs to evaluate business decisions.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree in business, economics, or statistics preferred.
• 3-7 years of experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• At least 2 years of experience with Tableau developing dashboards and reports.
• Strong SQL skills for complex querying.
• Experience with BI tools like PowerBI; Python or R is a plus.
• Knowledge of modern data stack tools (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks).
• Ability to derive insights from data and communicate findings clearly.
• Experience with A/B testing and experimental design.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
