The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE). Our support is expanding rapidly and includes services such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.
The Strategic Systems Analysis Group (SSAG) supports government and private sector strategic planning, decision making, and program management. SSAG combines deep client knowledge, advanced analytics, and subject matter expertise to provide timely and objective technical, operational, programmatic, acquisition, and policy analysis.
SPA has an immediate need for a Computer and Information Research Scientist SME.
Responsibilities
Perform Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) to enhance mission planning, analysis, and execution capabilities for strategic deterrence supporting USSTRATCOM and its partners. Assess Reliability, Maintainability, Quality, Supportability, and Interoperability (RMQSI) data, organizational, and technical requirements for solutions. Conduct technology insertion, process re-engineering, develop and adapt tools, create tests, and evaluate candidate solutions. Perform systems engineering, technical analysis, and research to improve mission performance, survivability, reliability, training, and system interoperability. Test and evaluate system survivability, interoperability, reliability, maintenance, and upgrades.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Nuclear Command and Control - Extremely Sensitive Information (NC2-ESI), NATO, and SAR classified programs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, operations research, systems analysis, or related fields.
- At least 17 years of experience in strategic deterrence and global strike planning, with in-depth knowledge of Nuclear Command and Control (NC2), Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), strategic nuclear operations, joint operations, warfighting doctrine, CCMD structure, and global command and control constructs.
- Knowledge and experience with critical command and control requirements, NC2 and NC3 operational capabilities, operations platforms, communications, and modes.
- 5 years or more experience in research, development, and testing of modernized capabilities supporting USSTRATCOM GOC and other operations centers at DoD levels.
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters or PhD in relevant technical disciplines.
- Knowledge supporting modernization of survivable NC2/NC3 capabilities.
- Familiarity with DoD, CJCS, and USSTRATCOM guidance, procedures, and directives.
