JOB SUMMARY
The Director is accountable for leading, managing and directing overall operations of the Cardiovascular Service Line across the continuum of care. He/she is also responsible for coordinating and facilitating the marketing and sales associated for all aspects of the Cardiovascular Service Line. In collaboration with others of the Cardiovascular Services advisory committee, hospital’s Executive management, the Director will facilitate the design, development, implementation, and ongoing management of the Cardiovascular Service Line ensuring the provision of services are conducted in a cost and market competitive manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing, related health-care or management field required. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of five years of successive experience in progressive hospital leadership roles or Cardiovascular Service Line management. Experience or education related to cardiovascular product line development, including marketing highly preferred. Experience related to strategic planning, healthcare administration, and physician relations. Critical Care experience is a plus.
Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge in the areas of medical/legal implications, finance, labor relations, economics, and legislation that affects the health-care industry, regulatory-agency guidelines, and Nurse Practice Act. Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
License/Certifications: Current California RN license. A current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS card is required.
Equipment: Basic knowledge of computer programs, such as Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform essential physical job requirements.
PAY RANGE
$69.76 - $104.64
The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change. Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
