Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Events Manager to design and execute impactful events that engage customers, showcase our large manufacturing equipment, and drive business growth. You will work closely with sales teams to deliver high-impact experiences that generate leads, strengthen customer relationships, and elevate brand visibility. This role will manage internal and external events, including trade shows, sponsorship opportunities, and team participation in industry activities, with full oversight of logistics, budgeting, and post-event evaluations.
Responsibilities:
Event Strategy Development: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and execute customized events designed to engage target audiences within the manufacturing sector. By organizing a variety of events--including trade shows, conferences, customer meetings, and corporate gatherings--you will ensure each initiative aligns with the company's lead generation and business development goals. Your responsibilities also include overseeing company participation in sponsored events, such as industry golf outings and conferences, to maximize visibility and engagement.
Customer Experience Design: Create unforgettable experiences that engage customers at every touchpoint of the event. Design immersive, hands-on demonstrations of manufacturing equipment, interactive presentations, and high-impact networking opportunities.
Sales Collaboration: In this role, you will work closely with sales teams to align event strategies with sales objectives, ensuring a clear path for lead generation, follow-up, and conversions. You will also collaborate with marketing coordinators across business units to maintain consistent branding and messaging. By identifying key target audiences and developing tailored engagement strategies, you will help maximize event outcomes and generate measurable business results.
Event Planning & Logistics: You will oversee all aspects of event planning and execution, which could include venue selection, vendor coordination, scheduling, catering, AV setup, and on-site support to ensure seamless events. Real-time problem-solving during events will be essential to maintain smooth operations and enhance attendee satisfaction.
Content Creation: You will develop promotional materials, presentations, and digital content that generate excitement and engagement before, during, and after events. This includes creating marketing collateral that resonates with attendees and supports lead-generation initiatives.
Budget Management: You will be responsible for developing and managing event budgets while finding cost-effective solutions that do not compromise quality. By tracking expenses--including vendor services, sponsorships, and registration fees--you will ensure that each event stays within financial parameters.
Branding & Messaging: You will ensure that all events are executed with consistent branding and messaging, aligning them with the company's mission, values, and product value propositions. Events should reflect the organization's unique identity while creating impactful opportunities to highlight the benefits of our manufacturing equipment.
Post-Event Analysis: You will conduct post-event evaluations to measure outcomes and gather customer feedback. By analyzing key performance indicators such as lead conversion rates, customer satisfaction, and sales performance, you will provide actionable recommendations to improve future events and maximize return on investment.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* 3+ years of experience in event marketing, sales strategy, or related roles, preferably in B2B or industrial sectors.
* Proven track record of executing successful events that drive measurable business outcomes.
* Strong collaboration and cross-functional teamwork skills.
* Excellent communication and marketing material creation abilities.
* Experience with event technology, CRM tools, and virtual event platforms.
* Ability to think creatively, adapt to evolving challenges, and continuously enhance customer experiences.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience in B2B or industrial sectors, particularly in manufacturing or heavy equipment.
* Familiarity with virtual and hybrid event planning.
* Proficiency in event analytics to measure success and ROI.
* Experience using HubSpot for lead tracking and customer data management.
* Familiarity with Wrike or similar project management tools.
