Primary Responsibilities

The primary job responsibility of the Key Account Representative - Fresh is to act as the intermediary between the customer and KeHE. It is the responsibility of the Key Account Representative (KAR) to ensure the customers’ needs are met by the company, thereby increasing sales and margins consistently. Strong communication skills are essential for both external and internal partners.

Essential Functions

• Growth in the territory through account penetration, new customers, and new programs.
• Ensure accuracy of pricing and authorized buy list for each account.
• Ensure all promotional allowances are accurately reflected in our and the customers' systems, with correct start and end dates.
• Work directly with Manufacturers and Brokers to ensure promotional activity is always happening in your accounts.
• Manage inventory committed to customers and resolve overstock issues.
• Collaborate with Broker and Supplier community to grow mutual business by introducing new items.
• Present new items to customers, including those in our warehouse, with exceptions for private label or exclusive regional items.
• Respond to all communications within 24 hours.
• Be financially conservative and a good steward of company resources.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Two or more years of experience in a similar customer-focused role.
• Experience in the Food Industry is a plus.
• Flexible, intelligent, and effective problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and be a self-starter.
• Hyper-detail oriented with a can-do attitude.
• Customer-focused with strong relationship management skills.
