Job Description
Join the Naval Nuclear team as a Principal Multi-disciplined Engineer Continuous Improvement (CI)Lead in the Capital Projects Directorate Management Office (DMO), Project Integration (PI) Unit to lead continuous improvement and knowledge management across the Capital Projects (CP) Directorate. PI leads the integration of the CP portfolio of operating project work across NNL and leads DMO functions supporting developing, monitoring, and assessing personnel and business initiatives. This position will report to the manager of PI and require significant interface between a large cross-section of CP and, Financial Services, NNL and Site DMOs.
The CI Lead will work to drive and communicate continuous improvement initiatives and results across the directorate while tracking and communicating return-on-investment for CP CI initiatives. They will identify and integrate CI results into CP portfolio adjustments and resource reinvestment. They will apply their expertise in project management and in multiple areas of continuous improvement including process improvements, change management, and problem-solving methodologies. The CI Lead will also take on Directorate Lead Belt responsibilities including identifying, prioritizing, and coordinating CP belt resources. The CI Lead will develop, maintain, and update continuous improvement strategic plans and coordinate implementation across the directorate. They will work with senior CP leadership to grow and maintain a healthy CI culture across CP. This position will also support CP DMO collateral duties including leading CP self-assessments, and developing tools including use of SharePoint, Power BI, and Power Apps.
Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
Preferred Skills
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills
- Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project experience
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interface and communicate with senior leaders at NNL and NR
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams to complete all assigned tasks.
- Green or Black Belt
- Previous Program Manager experience

Pay Range
