In anticipation of an award, Tantus Technologies, Inc. (Tantus) - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking a highly skilled Program Manager specializing in Software Development to lead innovative projects within the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). In this role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software solutions that enhance aviation safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. This role demands a strong background in DevSecOps, agile methodologies, and federal program management as well as a familiarity with FAA and its systems and tools.
Preference for candidates with experience w/ Federal Aviation Administration
Clearance: This position supports a federal contract and it requires US Citizenship and eligibility to obtain a Public Trust.
What You'll Do:
- You will lead and oversee all eight SSD PWS task areas, ensuring cohesive delivery of services across adaptive maintenance, software development, enterprise architecture, database administration, application sustainment, quality and business operations, enterprise information services, and web server/dev tools.
- You will coordinate task leads, manages performance, ensures compliance with FAA standards, and serves as the primary liaison with FAA stakeholders.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, government stakeholders, and technical experts to ensure project milestones align with FAA objectives.
You will manage budgets, schedules, and resources while driving strategic initiatives that improve operational effectiveness.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 10+ years of IT program management experience
- 10+ years of FAA direct experience
- Experience managing a contract of 150+ FTEs
- Understanding of FAA priorities, systems, tools and applications.
- Strong background in DevSecOps, agile methodologies, and federal program management as well as a familiarity with FAA and its systems and tools.
- Proven leadership in managing multi-disciplinary teams across large-scale federal IT programs
- Experience with Agile, DevSecOps, and FAA SDLC practices
- Prior experience presenting in Oral Presentations during procurement evaluation
Desired Certifications:
- Agile such as SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) or SAFe Agilist
- ITIL Foundation
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or equivalent
- The salary range is $185,000-250,000/year. The salary range for this position reflects a variety of factors that influence compensation decisions, including skills, experience, training, certifications, and organizational needs.
