About the Job
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 10 years relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 8 years relevant experience to meet managerial expectations.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Utilizing your strong team building skills, you’ll use proposal plans and strategies to lead a team in developing, defining, and implementing cohesive, integrated program/product, subcontractor, and material plans and business plans that achieve overall current and long-term objectives of the program/product, business unit, and division. We’ll rely on the Senior Program Manager to identify needed resources for projects, define and assign major program roles, lead the establishment of and sets integrated WBS-based budget and schedule baselines including management reserve for advanced development programs/products or major subcontracts where the scope is not well defined and there is significant possibility for change. You’ll monitor work accomplished to baseline plans to ensure rate of work completion is sufficient to meet program/product schedules, develops corrective actions, and communicate issues, impacts and corrective actions to program teams and balance programs, risks and opportunities with executable strategies to meet technical requirements and budgets.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
- Will be the primary point of contact for SWC Production to Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and the customer when required.
- Will represent the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts, projects and proposals.
- Coordinate all manufacturing activity to achieve 100% on time delivery
- Coordinate and communicate with project teams to ensure alignment with program objectives.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules and work plans.
- Monitor program performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Identify and manage program risks and issues and develop mitigation plans.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Prepare and present regular status reports to senior management and stakeholders including customers.
- Facilitate and lead meetings, including project kick-offs, status updates, and post-project reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize resource allocation and project delivery.
- Leads and manages proposals within business area.
- Determine the Manufacturing resources needed to support a project.
- Requires only minimal supervision and very little technical assistance.
- Manages business area to achieve all strategic goals.
- Typically leads a department(s) or large complex project or several smaller projects concurrently to meet business and program objectives.
- Leads team members and/or department staff to develop measurements to monitor performance to established processes and procedures.
- Manages people who lead cross-functional program teams that are focused on the delivery of manufacturing hardware.
- Creates an environment that fosters professional growth for team members.
- Delegates assignments to others for developing solutions.
