In the role of Senior Manager, Business Analytics, you will conduct and oversee optimization, reporting, and analytics activity relating to the Americas business. This includes pricing, strategy, providing market intelligence insights, and working with business intelligence as well as a high level of engagement with the salesforce. The position will also help oversee major strategic project initiatives involving external consultants, legal teams, business presidents, and other high level business executives.
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Commercial Excellence, you will be part of our world class finance team. This position will be based at our Americas group headquarters in New Haven, CT.
What you would do as Senior Manager, Business Analytics (Americas)
Your expertise would influence our Americas Strategy, as well as lead large scale cross functional projects that impact sales, pricing, brand initiatives, business intelligence, software development, new product launches, market intelligence, and finance. Additional responsibilities include:

Effectively engage with IT leadership to convey business requirements and obtain support to enable businesses to meet time-sensitive deadlines. This includes heavy involvement in developing, testing, deploying, updating, checking data integrity, and training around BI Dashboards, AI/ML projects, CRM, CPQ, pricing optimization, and JDE software deployments/updates.

Drive analytical improvements while assisting in the optimization of tools and analytics to more effective applications and identifying AI/ML opportunities.

Perform complex statistical analytics.

Perform analytics around pricing effectiveness, sales effectiveness, customer metrics, collected data, and aspects impacting price realization (on time delivery, specifications, tariffs, economic impacts, etc.).

Work with various Americas businesses pricing leadership and their respective teams of pricing professionals in a competitive and time sensitive B2B quoting environment.

Perform various day to day pricing/quoting/monitoring functions, and other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Optimize quoting process and perform daily reviews of quoting to make sure quotes comply with governance and legal requirements.

Work with Americas businesses, sales, and specification teams at their sites to implement best practices and profitable revenue growth through data insights.

Create and oversee in person and online training, including development of training materials.

Perform and oversee various required financial and brand reporting, both ad-hoc and routine.

Provide weekly updates on progress of major projects and issues.
What we are looking for
Our ideal candidate will have at least 7-10 years of experience in roles of progressively increasing responsibilities within a pricing or finance related area with quantitatively heavy responsibilities. Additional qualifications include:

Degree in economics, pricing, finance, or business.

At least 7-10 years of working with strategy, training, marketing, finance, IT, and sales functions.

Has previously managed cross functional teams in highly matrixed work environments.

Track record of tangible financial successes managing large, impactful, companywide projects.

Experience in presenting to internal and external stakeholders at high levels of the organization.

Ability to travel internationally 10-40% depending on fluctuating business needs.

Self-starter that can work under minimal supervision and effectively manage numerous large project teams in parallel.

Ability to take the initiative and turn requests, suggestions, analytical findings, and process gaps/improvement needs into tangible action items (or projects) and produce substantive quantitative and/or financial results to lead the company forward.

Proficient in data visualization and dashboard creation with tools such as such PowerBI, Tableau, or Qlikview (PowerBI preferred).

Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).

Advanced user of Excel (E.G. Pivot tables, macros, statistical functions) is a must.

Strong to advanced user of SQL and Python is a must.

Experience with large ERP environments (JDE preferred).
