Position Title: Software Engineer Location: Huntsville, AL Role Overview: We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and manage application development projects supporting IT infrastructure. This includes integrating third-party components, introducing new custom capabilities, modifying existing code, recommending process improvements, and automating operations and maintenance tasks. The Software Engineer will work under the direction of lead architects to develop and deploy applications, including large-scale data processing, statistical modeling, and advanced analytics. The role involves participating in all aspects of the software development life cycle, performing technical project milestone reviews, and transferring knowledge of development best practices. Key Responsibilities:
-Design, develop, test, and manage application development projects.
-Integrate third-party components and introduce new custom capabilities.
-Modify existing code and recommend process improvements.
-Automate operations and maintenance tasks.
-Develop and deploy applications for large-scale data processing, statistical modeling, and advanced analytics.
-Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle.
-Perform technical project milestone reviews and code architecture sessions.
-Transfer knowledge of development best practices. Requirements:
-Active Top Secret Clearance.
-Minimum of 6 years of experience (certifications or past work may be considered).
-Proficiency in Node.js, AngularJS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, d3, AJAX, Visual Studio, RubyGems, Python, and RedHat Linux.
-Experience supporting users in bulk data processing with machine translation, speech-to-text, and OCR tools.
-Experience with installation, configuration, and optimization of Machine Translation software (Systran, Language Weaver, Microsoft Translator) and OCR software (Tesseract, AWS Textract).
-Experience with AI/ML GPU technologies such as Nvidia.
-Extensive knowledge in administering servers with embedded GPUs running on RedHat Linux. Benefits:
