As a Sous Chef at our Mediterranean restaurant, you’ll play a key role in running the kitchen smoothly. You’ll work closely with the Executive Chef to help create and refine our menu, ensuring every dish reflects the authentic flavors of the Mediterranean. You’ll also manage the kitchen staff, train new team members, and make sure everything is running efficiently during service. Food safety is a priority, so you'll keep the kitchen in top shape and make sure everything is up to standard. It’s a fast-paced environment, but with your leadership skills and knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine, you’ll help us deliver amazing food and a great experience for our guests.
Salary Range - $75k to $80k

We are looking for a passionate and experienced individual with a deep knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine. The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong leadership skills, and can effectively manage the kitchen staff. Your ability to maintain high standards and consistently deliver delicious, authentic food will help drive the success of the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create and refine Mediterranean-inspired menus
- Manage daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth execution of all dishes
- Lead and motivate kitchen staff, providing training and fostering teamwork
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times
- Maintain inventory and manage food ordering and storage
- Assist with recipe development, portion control, and food presentation
- Coordinate and participate in the hiring, training, and management of kitchen personnel.
- 7 years of experience in a Sous Chef role or similar, preferably in Mediterranean or fine-dining establishments
- Extensive knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine and food preparation techniques
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing kitchen staff
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, inventory management, and food safety standards
- A passion for delivering exceptional food and a commitment to culinary excellence
