Sr Developer - Java - Maximus

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our team and drive key integration projects. In this role, you will focus on developing and maintaining integrations with platforms like Salesforce and AWS. Your work will involve building AWS Lambda functions and creating RESTful API integrations to facilitate seamless communication with our customer systems. Per VES contract requirements, staff working on the VES project must be a US Citizen or US Legal Resident (green card holders)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Provide design and implementation expertise to a cross-functional software development team.

- Design and develop Java applications from business requirements in collaboration with other team members.

- Support testing and remediate defects.

- May mentor entry and mid-level developers.

• Integration Development: Design and implement robust Java-based integrations with Salesforce and AWS, ensuring data flows seamlessly between systems.

• Serverless Architecture: Develop and maintain AWS Lambda functions to support scalable, serverless solutions.

• API Design: Build, test, and maintain RESTful APIs to support external and internal integrations.

• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather technical requirements, align integration strategies, and ensure high-quality delivery.

• Maintenance & Support: Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing integration solutions while ensuring adherence to best practices in code quality and security.

• Agile Environment: Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous integration/deployment.

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- 5-7 years of relevant professional experience required.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.

• Extensive experience in Java development.

• Proven expertise in integrating with Salesforce and AWS, including hands-on experience with AWS Lambda.

• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and best practices.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
