Medline Industries has an immediate opening for a highly experienced and motivated senior manager of Software Engineering to lead our team in modernizing our warehouse management system. As the Senior Manager of Software Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of our modern warehouse management system.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality complex software projects on time and within budget.
- Define and manage the software development lifecycle, including project planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Establish and maintain software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, and testing methodologies.
- Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and timelines.
- Manage technical risks, identify potential issues, and proactively address them.
- Hire, train, mentor, and develop software engineers, providing regular feedback and coaching to ensure high performance and growth.
- Manage budget and resource allocation for software development projects
- Stay up to date with the latest software development technologies, trends, and methodologies.
- Continuously improve software development processes to increase efficiency, quality, and reliability.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education
- Prefer Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
Work Experience
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least 5 years of management experience leading software development teams.
- Strong technical skills in software design, architecture, and development
- Experience with agile methodologies and continuous delivery practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and modern software development practices is a plus.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience with software development for warehouse management system is preferred.

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$152,880.00 - $229,320.00 AnnualThe actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
