Passionate about Big Data and Distributed Systems? Interested in building state-of-the-art products at Petabyte scale? Join a team of industry-leading experts operating one of Amazon's largest big data analytics platforms. We handle end-to-end processing of impressions, views, and clicks, utilizing the latest machine learning and big data technologies on terabytes of data daily (about 100 billion new events per day), on Petabyte-scale clusters. Our data must be fast, high-fidelity, and critical for campaign measurement and adjustments.
Candidates should demonstrate leadership, analytical skills, and a drive to deliver results. This role requires strong technical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the successful delivery of large, high-impact, cross-functional product initiatives while managing smaller projects.
- Drive strategic planning, discovery, and prioritization by partnering with product managers and engineering leads to develop roadmaps, dependencies, and resourcing plans.
- Identify core requirements, recommend technical approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet deadlines.
- Communicate plans, status, and issues clearly to executive management.
- Serve as a technical liaison between customers and engineering teams.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with engineering teams.
- Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating releases.
- Experience with system-level technical design and developing product/technical roadmaps.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
- Experience defining KPIs/SLA metrics to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
