About The Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Surgery Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 14:30-23:00, 5x8's 2:30 PM - 11 PM Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Current RN license from an accredited program Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification via AHA Must-Have: Experience in Robotics & Neuro Job Description: - Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of the patient population served. - Ensure quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit’s standards of care. - Demonstrate performance consistent with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization. - Exhibit quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice. - Treat staff, physicians, patients, and families with consideration and respect. Minimum Qualifications: - Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program. - Knowledgeable and sensitive to patients’ rights in the delivery of care. - Communicate in a clear, concise manner appropriate to the developmental age of patients. Work Environment: - Bloodborne pathogen exposure and risk of infectious diseases due to proximity in healthcare settings. - A clean, well-lit, ventilated smoke-free environment. - Varied working hours, with flexibility required due to schedule changes and emergencies. Physical Requirements: - Ability to handle emergency/crisis situations. - Prolonged standing and walking, requiring heavy physical effort for positioning, pushing, and transferring patients and equipment. - Requires considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. - Must have normal or correctable hearing and visual acuity, including color distinction and peripheral vision. - Manual dexterity and fine motor coordination are essential. Additional Information: - Weekend and on-call requirements will be discussed during the interview process. - Responsible to the Patient Care Director or Manager. - The role involves exposure to stressful professional relationships.
